About M Peremans

I am an International Consultant & Trainer with extensive experience as an analyst and strategist, a crisis manager, a communication specialist and a broadcast television journalist and documentary filmmaker.

Having held senior positions as an advocacy, communications and campaign specialist and manager for international non-profit organisations, I am proficient in analysing and strategizing, and adept at managing all aspects of media relations and response. Furthermore, I was a member of multiple crisis teams, as the crisis team leader or the crisis communication advisor. In addition, I have wide-ranging experience in building, leading and motivating teams - developing and training staff in multi-cultural, cross-functional and complex environments.

Following more than 16 years in television, in 2006 I joined the international humanitarian aid organisation, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), where I coordinated emergency and crisis communications responses, international media relations and internal organisational collaboration. Five years later, I joined Greenpeace Belgium where I was responsible for all aspects of their campaigns.

As a tri-lingual (English, French, Dutch) international trainer/consultant I provide interactive, professional training and guidance to a diverse range of organisations – e.g. Amnesty International, Avocats Sans Frontières, Croix-Rouge française, ECHO (EU), EUD (EU), European Interagency Security Forum (EISF), Fedasil, Foreign Affairs Belgium (ambassadors), Greenpeace, International Social Science Council (ISSC),Medair, Médecins du Monde, Médecins Sans Frontières, Open Society Foundations, Pax, Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF), RedR, Save the Children, Transnational Institute (TNI), Vétérinaires Sans Frontières, and ZOA – in locations across the world.
